Job Title: Release Manager with SAP Basis Experience Location: Foster City CA

Job Summary:
- The Release Manager will oversee the planning coordination and management of software releases and deployments for our pharmaceutical applications and systems.
- This role is crucial in ensuring that all releases meet quality standards comply with regulatory requirements and are delivered on time.
- The Release Manager will work closely with development quality assurance IT operations and compliance teams to streamline release processes and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Release Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and manage release plans schedules and timelines for software releases.
- Coordinate with crossfunctional teams including development QA IT operations and regulatory affairs to ensure timely and successful releases.
- Facilitate release planning meetings and track progress against release schedules.
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all releases comply with industry regulations including FDA EMA and other relevant guidelines.
- Implement and enforce release management best practices to ensure highquality deliverables.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage releaserelated issues to minimize impact on operations.
3. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements to streamline release management processes.
- Monitor release performance metrics and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Maintain and update release management documentation including release notes and deployment procedures.
4. Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all releaserelated communications with stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on release status issues and risks to senior management and other relevant parties.
- Facilitate postrelease reviews and gather feedback to improve future releases.
5. Incident and Problem Management:
- Manage and resolve releaserelated incidents and problems in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with IT operations and support teams to address and mitigate release issues.
- Develop and implement contingency plans for critical release failures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in release management preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with SAP HANA Migration
- Proven experience with release management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex releases on time and within scope.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
