Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Experience: Relevant Experience Required

Location: New South Wales Australia

Join one of our prestigious clients dynamic team as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician and play a key role in ensuring smooth operations in our food manufacturing facility. You ll be part of a team dedicated to delivering highquality safe and delicious food products.


In this role you will work on cuttingedge automated equipment perform preventive and reactive maintenance and support continuous improvement projects all while ensuring a safe and supportive workplace.



Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and coordinate preventative maintenance activities.
  • Complete planned maintenance tasks and prioritize breakdowns to meet production needs.
  • Provide technical support and training to machine operators for basic troubleshooting.
  • Document all work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Investigate equipment issues to prevent outofspec finished goods.
  • Assist in meeting safety quality and industry standards including BRC compliance.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement projects.



Qualifications


Required:

  • Mechanical Fitter Trade or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in faultfinding and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Ability to read schematic diagrams and interpret machinery manuals.
  • Effective communication skills for crossfunctional teamwork and reporting.
  • Flexibility to work 12hour shifts (specific shifts detailed in the description).


Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Welding turning and sheet metal fabrication skills.
  • Automation experience is a bonus but not essential.
