Job Description

We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Contract Specialist to join our team. The Contract Specialist will be responsible for the preparation review negotiation and management of contracts with a focus on NonDisclosure Agreements (NDAs) architectural and engineering agreements AIA agreements and other related documents. This role will also involve supporting the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and managing change orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and Draft Contracts: Prepare review and negotiate various contract types including NDAs architectural and engineering agreements AIA agreements and other related documents.
  • Contract Management: Ensure contract terms and conditions are adhered to track key deadlines and maintain a centralized repository for all contractrelated documents.
  • Request for Proposals (RFPs): Assist in finalization of RFPs ensuring they are clear accurate and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Change Orders: Draft and review change orders ensuring all modifications are properly documented negotiated and agreed upon by all parties.
  • Risk Assessment: Analyze contract terms to identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure that all agreements are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including legal finance project management and engineering to gather necessary information for contracts and to resolve any contractrelated issues.
  • Vendor/Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for vendors and clients regarding contractrelated negotiations. Facilitate negotiation sessions when necessary to ensure favorable terms for the company.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve contract management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on contract status upcoming deadlines and any issues that require resolution to stakeholders.
  • Perform all other related duties assigned by manager or supervisor. 

 


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree 
  • Experience in contract review preferably in a construction engineering or architecturerelated field.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read interpret and draft complex contract language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and experience with contract management software is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Knowledge of AIA contract documents architectural and engineering agreements and other industryspecific contracts.
  • Experience with RFPs change orders and SOWs. 
  • Knowledge of construction and engineering terminology.
  • Familiarity with relevant local state and federal regulations affecting contracts in the construction and engineering industries.
  • Certifications related to legal field or contract review is a plus.
