Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks with a focus on both commercial and residential spaces.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are wellmaintained.
- Carry out industrial cleaning duties per safety standards and protocols.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or issues that need attention.
- Manage custodial responsibilities for both commercial buildings and residential properties as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas restrooms and other hightraffic zones.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Support porter duties by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or cleaning purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various surfaces.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting to 50 pounds standing for extended periods and working in various environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
