Job Description
Opening / Selling Statement Our client is seeking a Sr Level Java engineer for engineering and delivery microservices and APIs to support Customer Data. The team supports various midlayer services across the organization and to external partners and is seeking a strong Java Engineer with Azure cloud experience. Best qualified candidates will have strong experiences in Java 8 Azure Cloud Containerization Python Data Streaming and Agile/Scrum.

Job Duties Be an active participant in all scrum ceremonies and lead in the delivery of the strategic roadmap.
Help define project scope & specifications and estimate resources required to develop the proposed solution.
Ensure that specifications and requirements are clearly articulated to the development teams and monitor timelines & progress.
Propose technical solutions.
Delivery of welldesigned highquality fully functional properly tested features fixes and enhancements.
Responsible for the full application development lifecycle and support.
Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance.
Provide subject matter expertise and direction guidance and support on complex engagements.

6 Java 17 (2021) including functional programming
4 Spring Boot v3 (2022)
3 Docker/Kubernetes (fundamentals scale up/down deployment)
3 NoSQL & RDBMS Cassandra PostgreSQL Elasticsearch
PythonSpark/Databricks
Functional & nonfunctional testing: jbehave cucumber selenium junit / Gatling JMeter OWasp
Azure Git ADO/Jenkins CICD
Agile/Scrum
Desired Skills & Experience Streaming: Kafka Kinesis and Event Hubs are strongly desired
Datadog or New Relic a plus
