Role: Technical Analyst (Web Performance and SEO Expert)

Position Overview:
The client seeks a Technical Analyst (Web Performance and SEO Expert) to support the Research and Needs Assessment for the USIP.org website. This role focuses on evaluating and optimizing the technical performance and search engine optimization (SEO) of the website. The analyst will play a critical role in identifying performance bottlenecks enhancing the sites visibility in search engines and ensuring alignment with modern web standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Performance Analysis
Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the websites technical performance including load times responsiveness and overall efficiency.
Identify and document issues affecting site performance such as broken links slowloading assets or code inefficiencies.
Collaborate with the development team to recommend and implement improvements.
2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Assess the websites SEO performance including keyword rankings backlink quality and domain authority.
Audit the site for SEO issues such as metadata alt tags and URL structure inconsistencies.
Provide actionable recommendations to improve search engine visibility and content ranking.
3. User Behavior Analytics
Leverage tools like Google Analytics Google Search Console and other web performance platforms to track user interactions and engagement metrics.
Analyze traffic sources user navigation paths and conversion data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
4. Accessibility Compliance
Ensure the technical infrastructure supports accessibility standards such as WCAG to create an inclusive experience for all users.
Collaborate with UX and design teams to address accessibilityrelated technical issues.
5. Comparative Benchmarking
Conduct a technical comparison of USIP.org with similar organizational websites highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
Research and report on emerging trends and best practices in web performance and SEO.
6. Reporting and Recommendations
Produce detailed reports summarizing technical performance SEO metrics and recommended optimizations.
Collaborate on the development of a final strategy brief to align technical recommendations with broader project goals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Web Development Digital Marketing or a related field.
Required Experience:
3 years of experience in web performance optimization SEO or a related technical role.
Proven track record of enhancing website speed user engagement and search engine visibility.
Experience working with modern content management systems (e.g. Drupal).
Skills:
Proficiency in performance testing tools (e.g. Lighthouse GTmetrix WebPageTest).
Expertise in SEO tools like SEMrush Moz or Ahrefs.
Strong knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console.
Familiarity with HTML CSS JavaScript and best practices for web development.
Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and their technical implementation.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Key Deliverables:
Technical performance analysis report identifying bottlenecks and recommendations.
SEO audit report with actionable strategies for improvement.
Accessibility compliance checklist with a summary of technical adjustments.
Comparative benchmarking report against similar organizational websites.
Contributions to the final strategy brief outlining technical insights and priorities.
