Job Description:
To provide a System Developer (Consultant) who has considerable experience in software system development projects and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices to perform configuration and customization of ESRI ArcGIS Pro desktop software to build geospatial data editing tools for Linear Feature Maintenance of the Citywide Street Centerline System. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing developing and maintaining ArcGIS Prointegrated applications and extending native editing features to support the agency goals to modernize the maintenance management system. This position requires a blend of technical skills problemsolving abilities and a passion for geospatial technologies.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Design develop and enhance ESRI ArcGIS Probased applications and custom extensions for spatial data editing of linear and point features.
- Implement custom tools scripts and workflows in ArcGIS Pro to optimize GIS data editing analysis and visualization.
- Maintain and improve existing GIS systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Manage process and analyze spatial data from diverse sources.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of GIS datasets including performing data conversions quality assurance and updates.
- Optimize spatial databases and file geodatabases for performance and usability.
- Develop integration solutions for GIS systems with enterprise platforms or thirdparty tools.
- Automate repetitive GIS workflows using Python (ArcPy) Arcade ModelBuilder or similar tools.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including system designs workflows and user guides.
- Generate reports and dashboards using GIS data to support decisionmaking processes.
- Provide technical support and knowledge transition to team members and end users as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the required skills will not be considered.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ArcGIS Probased GIS solution design and development.
- Demonstrated proficiency with ESRI product suite including ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Enterprise (Server Portal SDE DataStore) ArcGIS Desktop ArcGIS Online and ArcMap.
- Demonstrated experience working with geospatial data types in Microsoft SQL Server Oracle/Oracle Spatial and PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases.
- Handson development experience with Python ArcPy Arcade and Model Builder to create/extend editing tools in ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience with MSSQL Server PostgreSQL Oracle and/or other geospatial databases.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Online capabilities and GIS application development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in GIS.
- Familiarity with application lifecycle management (ALM) tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
Vendors Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years prior experience providing professional technology staffing services.
