Location: Sunnyvale CA (Hybrid)
BE/BTech/BS: Minimum 15 years
ME/MTech/MS: Minimum 8 years
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Leader to spearhead the development of the Ruckus SmartEdge Product a stateoftheart platform enabling network services on customer premises fully managed through Ruckus Cloud. As a key contributor you will drive the architecture design and implementation of scalable cuttingedge solutions blending advanced networking and cloud technologies. You will lead engineering teams foster innovation and deliver simplified network solutions tailored to market needs.
Key Responsibilities
System Architecture & Design:
Define and evolve system architecture and platform design for NetworkasaService (NaaS) solutions.
Develop scalable efficient and secure networking and cloud solutions.
Development & Implementation:
Build and enhance features on the Ruckus SmartEdge platform focusing on CNF/VNF data path switching routing protocols and network security.
Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration between networking and cloud services.
Team Leadership:
Mentor and guide engineers ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Review and approve technical designs specifications and test plans.
Innovation & Stakeholder Engagement:
Drive innovation by contributing to patents and standards (e.g. RFCs).
Partner with product managers and other stakeholders to define and solve key challenges effectively.
Customer Focus:
Engage with customer escalations to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
Document architecture functional specifications and designs to ensure clarity and alignment.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree (BE/BTech/BS) in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related fields.
Masters (ME/MTech/MS) or PhD is preferred.
Experience:
15 years (BE/BTech/BS) or 8 years (ME/MTech/MS) of experience in software development particularly in networking and cloud technologies.
Required Skills:
Networking Expertise:
Proficiency in data path switching routing protocols and network security technologies.
Cloud & Microservices:
Handson experience with Microservices CNF VNF and Kubernetes/Docker environments.
Programming Proficiency:
Strong skills in C C and GoLang (Java experience is a plus).
SaaS Platforms:
Experience with SaaS platforms on GCP AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of APIs cloud services and authentication protocols (OAuth OpenID SAML).
Messaging Frameworks:
Familiarity with RabbitMQ Kafka or NATS.
Frameworks & Development Tools:
SpringBoot/SpringCloud development experience is highly desirable.
Leadership & Communication:
Demonstrated technical leadership excellent problemsolving skills and strong verbal/written communication capabilities.
