JOB TITLE: C17 Structures Mechanic FREE Housing Support

LOCATION: San Antonio TX

PAY RATE: $40.17 per hour

Details:

• 12month contract with opportunities for extension

• Must be flexible with shifts including weekends and holidays.

• Be prepared for scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Summary:

• Perform close tolerance drilling reaming and installation for critical structures such as doublers triplers seat tracks planks and stringers.

• Conduct structural modifications and repairs including sealing painting shimming and preserving.

• Interpret engineering drawings technical orders and specifications to perform tasks accurately.

• Use advanced tools like torque wrenches micrometers and sheet metal brakes for precision work.

• Access technical publications and computer systems for work instructions parts requests and training.

• Provide technical guidance to lowerlevel technicians and lead complex tasks when required.

• Maintain certifications operate forklifts/cranes and use powered elevating equipment.

Required Skills:

• 4 years in heavy structures maintenance on aircraft.

• Strong knowledge of structural repair/modification techniques.

• Proficiency in using tools such as torque wrenches micrometers and test equipment.

• Familiarity with computer systems and ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.

• Ascend/descend ladders work in confined spaces lift up to 35 pounds.

• Use personal protective equipment and safely handle hazardous materials.

• Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.

• Work at heights on uneven surfaces and in noisy environments.

Desired Skills:

• Depotlevel heavy structures maintenance experience.

• Experience with titanium aircraft structures or executive fleet platforms.

• FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant certification.

• This role requires attention to detail technical expertise and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment supporting missioncritical operations.
