Job Description
As a Parttime Bookkeeper you ll play a crucial role in steering the financial ship of this evolving solar power business. Utilizing MYOB accounting software you ll manage a diverse range of financial tasks from BAS preparation to payroll processing. This position offers the perfect blend of autonomy and support allowing you to showcase your expertise while contributing to the company s growth. You ll work closely with the management team and external tax accountants ensuring seamless financial operations in a virtual setting. Responsibilities
- Manage financial data using MYOB ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and submit quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Process staff superannuation payments maintaining compliance with regulations
- Handle payroll tasks including processing and documentation
- Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
- Collaborate with external tax accountants preparing necessary financial data
- Optimize financial processes for a virtual work environment
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial efficiency
Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping experience preferably in Australian retail or SME context
- Proficiency in MYOB accounting software
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax regulations and BAS requirements
- Experience with superannuation payment processing and payroll management
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in financial data handling
- Selfmotivated with ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Strong virtual communication skills and adaptability to new technologies
- Familiarity with transitioning financial processes to digital platforms
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security in a virtual environment
