Job Description
As a Parttime Bookkeeper you ll play a crucial role in steering the financial ship of this evolving solar power business. Utilizing MYOB accounting software you ll manage a diverse range of financial tasks from BAS preparation to payroll processing. Responsibilities
- Manage financial data using MYOB ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and submit quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Process staff superannuation payments maintaining compliance with regulations
- Handle payroll tasks including processing and documentation
- Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
- Collaborate with external tax accountants preparing necessary financial data
- Optimize financial processes for a virtual work environment
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial efficiency
Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping experience preferably in Australian retail or SME context
- Proficiency in MYOB accounting software
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax regulations and BAS requirements
- Experience with superannuation payment processing and payroll management
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in financial data handling
- Selfmotivated with ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Strong virtual communication skills and adaptability to new technologies
- Familiarity with transitioning financial processes to digital platforms
