Job Description

Are you passionate about helping students unlock their potential and thrive in a multilingual multicultural world Join our team as an Elementary ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher where you ll play a vital role in empowering young learners to develop their English language skills and achieve academic success in a supportive inclusive environment.

As an Elementary ESL Teacher you will create engaging studentcentered lessons that enhance English speaking listening reading and writing skills. You ll provide targeted instruction in both oneonone and smallgroup settings to address students unique language development needs. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers you will ensure ELL students fully participate in and benefit from the broader curriculum. Celebrating the diverse backgrounds of your students you ll foster a welcoming environment that builds confidence and curiosity. Through creative teaching strategies and tools you ll make language learning dynamic and enjoyable. Tracking student progress you ll celebrate milestones as students grow in their language abilities. Additionally you ll partner with families to support students learning journeys and adaptation to new academic and cultural environments.

Additional Details:
  • Provide ESL services to elementary school students
  • Occasional travel possibility; mileage will be reimbursed
  • Fulltime positions available

Requirements

  • Demonstrated background as an ESL Teacher or in a similar capacity.
  • A bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university is mandatory.
  • Possess a current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an ESL endorsement.
  • Previous experience engaging with students from varied linguistic and cultural communities.
