Position: Sales Manager Aerospace and Defence

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Executive with over 6 to 8 years of experience in sales specifically within the Aerospace and Defence Sectors in India. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of these sectors and a proven track record of working with Defence PSU accounts (DPSU). As Defence Sales Manager in India you will operate with a high degree of autonomy to drive growth with a special emphasis on partnering with DPSU and its customers.
The position will be based in India and will involve regular travel to target customer locations.
Essential Responsibilities include:
Responsible for order intake revenue and profit targets for A&D Sector with special emphasis on Defence PSUs accounts.
Significantly grow the DLM business by winning new business in Defence PSUs accounts.
Conduct market research to understand the needs and requirements of target customers.
Develop business cases and strategies and lead overall activities to achieve growth and market penetration in this sector.
Identify and establish relationships with key decisionmakers and stakeholders within the A&D industry.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to the A&D sector.
Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry trends competitors and market conditions.
Provide timely forecasts of revenue business capture sales and orders booking and status of pursuits and proposals.
Generate maintain and present sales management artifacts and tools such as strategic sales plans account plans sales funnels capture plans and order forecasts.
Work closely with Business Development Strategy Marketing and Technical teams to meet organizational goals.
Enhance visibility for Cyient DLM by participating in expositions and conferences.
Diligent use of Salesforce to track and maintain account data.
Skills and Knowledge
Minimum of 6 to 8 years of sales experience with at least 4 years in the A&D sector handling Defence PSUs accounts.
Proven track record in successful sales and business development with customers in the above sectors.
Strong understanding of the defence procurement process and regulations especially those related to Defence PSUs.
Demonstrated knowledge of sales and marketing principles and concepts.
Excellent written and oral communication as well as effective presentation skills.
Ability to present business plans and sales strategies to senior and executive management.
Skill in opportunity development and identification strategic selling pursuit and capture planning.
Strong negotiation skills and customer relationshipbuilding skills.
Strong drive to learn new technologies and offerings.
Demonstrated leadership traits with past crossfunctional leadership experience a plus.
Personal integrity professionalism goaloriented and resultsdriven selfstarter.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel as required with 30% or more travel expected.
Required Engineering Degree / Post Graduation in Business Administration.
