We are seeking an enthusiastic and detailoriented Catering Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Chennai India. As a key member of our organization you will be responsible for driving catering sales managing client relationships and ensuring the successful execution of events.
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones
- Conduct site inspections and create tailored proposals for prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and pricing within established parameters
- Collaborate with the culinary team to design creative and costeffective menu options
- Manage the entire event process from initial inquiry to postevent followup
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless event execution
- Conduct preevent meetings and maintain onsite presence during events
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
- Prepare and present sales reports forecasts and performance metrics
- Actively participate in industry networking events and trade shows
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster a collaborative work environment
Qualifications :
- Diploma in Tourism Hospitality Management or Events Management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in group catering and conference sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and relationshipbuilding abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel Word and PowerPoint)
- Experience with event planning software
- Indepth knowledge of the catering and event management industry
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
