Exceptional service and cuisine are hallmarks of the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess dining experience. Your leadership creativity and culinary skills as a Lead Pastry Cook will guide the preparation of our Pastry Kitchens wide assortment of delicious baked goods for the enjoyment of our guests.
- Produce dessert and bakery products while following recipes and/or chefs directions consistently and efficiently with little supervision.
- Complete daily prep and production of highvolume bakery products consistently and without sacrificing food quality.
- Maintain a high standard of food quality with demonstrated efficiency in the utilization of products to control food products.
- Assist in maintaining effective inventory levels. Place product orders complete food requisition control prep inventories outlet requisitions and par levels.
- Write personal prep lists with regard to food & labor costs; manage the stations and the needs of the bakery in the absence of the Pastry Chef and/or Pastry Sous Chef with a positive supportive attitude.
- Maintain clean and sanitary work environment and station on a daily basis and maintain standards of good personal hygiene and proper uniform guidelines.
- Exhibits excellent knowledge understanding and application of all fundamental techniques of pastry confectionery and baked goods.
- Perform other duties throughout the kitchen as assigned.
- Skills and knowledge in the realm of kitchen production various dessert styles baked goods confectionary and finishing techniques.
- Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate leadership skills within your work group or station partners displaying the ability to communicate effectively as a team player with supervisors employees & customers; project a positive selfmotivated & professional attitude at all times.
Qualifications :
- Two to Four Years of Previous Experience in a Pastry Production Kitchen and/or Restaurant Experience
- Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling pushing pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders stairs and ramps
- Can work outside in extreme Heat and in Extreme Cold
- Can work in Wet conditions Odor Noise and Stressful conditions
