Role Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will take charge of highprofile multifaceted projects ensuring they are delivered on time within scope and to the highest standards. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will act as a pivotal link between executive leadership and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning:
- Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive project plans that align with organisational objectives.
- Lead project scoping budgeting and resource planning activities.
- Set clear project goals KPIs and deliverables ensuring alignment with stakeholders expectations.
Project Execution and Oversight:
- Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure ensuring adherence to governance frameworks and methodologies.
- Oversee risk management implementing mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
- Ensure all project activities comply with regulatory and organisational requirements.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives providing updates and insights on project progress and challenges.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams external partners and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across project teams.
Continuous Improvement:
- Champion best practices in project management driving continuous improvement in processes and tools.
- Lead postproject evaluations capturing lessons learned to enhance future initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Extensive experience managing largescale complex projects ideally in infrastructure transportation or technology sectors.
- Strong expertise in project management methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall PRINCE2).
- Exceptional leadership problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets resources and timelines effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Professional certifications in project management (e.g. PMP PgMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner).
- Experience with digital transformation or operational technology projects.
- Strong familiarity with regulatory environments and compliance requirements.
