About the Role
The Maintenance Manager is instrumental in ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency through strategic leadership. This position drives the maintenance team in fostering a safetyfirst culture and continuous improvement initiatives within a food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance team by providing clear guidance fostering accountability and promoting professional growth.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
- Conduct safety inspections identify risks and enforce compliance with regulatory safety standards.
- Manage repairs and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to optimize production performance.
- Oversee budget planning for maintenance operations ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify process improvements and costsaving opportunities.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies to reduce lead times and ensure readiness for repairs.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members enhancing technical capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering facilities management or a related technical field is advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance leadership within food manufacturing or related industries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of equipment repair maintenance best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards for food manufacturing equipment and facility compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement cultural and operational changes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Background in Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles for efficiency improvements.
- Previous experience with perishable or dairy food manufacturing equipment.
- Advanced skills in budget management and resource optimization.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective team communication and collaboration.
