Snowflake Developer

We are looking for a talented and experienced Snowflake Developer to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing developing and optimizing data pipelines building data models and ensuring the smooth integration and processing of large data sets in the Snowflake Data Cloud environment. You will work closely with data engineers analysts and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions that meet business needs.

• Data Warehouse Development:

  • Design develop and maintain Snowflakebased data models and schemas ensuring that data structures align with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Implement complex ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake SQL and Snowflake tools to integrate data from a variety of source systems.
  • Build and manage data pipelines using tools such as dbt Apache Airflow or other orchestration frameworks to automate data workflows.

• Optimization and Performance Tuning:

  • Optimize SQL queries and Snowflake processes for speed and efficiency ensuring high performance on largescale datasets.
  • Monitor data warehouse performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks recommending optimizations for costeffectiveness and improved query performance.
  • Utilize Snowflake features such as clustering keys micropartitioning and materialized views to enhance query performance.

• Data Integration & Transformation:

  • Integrate diverse data sources both structured and unstructured into the Snowflake platform ensuring proper transformation validation and quality controls.
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows to move data from operational systems into the data warehouse ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with data architects to define data integration strategies standardization and governance practices.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with data analysts data scientists and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that drive insights and decisionmaking.
  • Provide technical expertise to business teams on data models data queries and how to leverage Snowflake features for reporting and analysis.

• Documentation & Best Practices:

  • Develop and maintain clear technical documentation on data models ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Adhere to best practices in coding data management and data governance within the Snowflake environment.
  • Ensure data security and compliance requirements are met while maintaining effective data access control.

• Testing & Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement unit tests and perform data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data in the Snowflake platform.
  • Participate in the code review process to ensure highquality standards are maintained across data development efforts.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience with Snowflake Data Cloud including designing schemas tables views and userdefined functions (UDFs).
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying transformation and performance tuning in Snowflake.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools like dbt Apache Airflow or Matillion for building and managing data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts star and snowflake schemas and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS Azure or GCP particularly their integration with Snowflake.
  • Experience with data integration from various sources (relational databases flat files APIs etc.).
  • Experience with data governance data security and compliance practices in Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Python or Java for scripting and automating processes is a plus.

• Experience:

  • 5 years of handson experience with Snowflake or similar cloudbased data warehousing platforms.
  • Strong experience in data modeling data integration and building scalable data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloudbased architecture and experience in deploying data solutions in a cloud environment.
