Job Description:
The Equipment Cleaner is responsible for cleaning production equipment and associated general work areas safely and thoroughly. Theyre also responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect to ensure the quality and quantity of products produced.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans wash sanitizes stores and organizes equipment to include but not limited to machines conveyors hoppers carts vessels filters utensils processing equipment change parts and facilities components
- Ensures that residual material is removed equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized for use and that any wear is repaired or reported so it can be repaired
- Rinses washes equipment thoroughly to remove soap residue and sanitizes as required by SOP
- Stores clean equipment in a manner that prevents contamination
- Labels cleaned equipment with identification that indicates the equipment is clean and the expiration of the clean status
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Military experience is a plus
- Physical ability to repetitively lift stand climb bend etc. within a manufacturing environment
EXPERIENCE:
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
SKILLS:
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Basic mathematical skills
- Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions
