**Location:** Utrecht

Our client an online retailer poised at the forefront of the ecommerce world dedicated to shaping the future of online shopping through innovative solutions. To sustain our growth we are in search of a proficient Java Software Engineer who can contribute to building superior technological systems particularly for our logistics division.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
1. Participate from the onset in the development of stateoftheart tech systems for our logistics operations.
2. Engage in the full software development life cycle including design coding testing and deployment of new applications.
3. Collaborate actively with the Software Development Team to identify and prioritize tech needs and solutions.
4. Make wellinformed decisions independently as well as contribute in teambased decisionmaking.
5. Work cohesively in an Agile environment adopting the Scrum methodology.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
**MUST**
* Proficiency in Java.
* B1 level or above in Dutch language proficiency.
* Understanding of Dutch cultural and business etiquette.
**PREFERABLE HARD SKILLS**
* Knowledge of Kotlin.
* Experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
* Familiarity with Maven.
* Competency in SQL and ORM tooling.
* Experience with JUnit.
* Handson experience with Git.
* Proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker.
* Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and SaaS solutions.
**PREFERABLE SOFT SKILLS**
* Ability to work autonomously.
* A proactive and cando attitude.
* Flexibility in adapting to evolving business needs.
* Strong team player qualities.
**INDUSTRY EXPERIENCES**
* A minimum of 3 years experience in IT design and development.
