This is a remote position.
We are seeking a DevOps/Security Specialist to design implement and manage secure scalable and highly available systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure automation and cybersecurity ensuring our platform meets the highest standards of performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Infrastructure Management
- Design implement and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning deployment and monitoring using tools like Terraform Ansible or Chef.
- Ensure high availability and scalability of systems through effective architecture and disaster recovery planning.
Security Operations
- Implement robust security practices including monitoring intrusion detection and vulnerability management.
- Manage firewalls VPNs and endpoint protection solutions to secure systems.
- Conduct regular security audits penetration tests and risk assessments.
CI/CD Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and integration processes.
- Ensure consistent efficient and secure software delivery workflows using tools like Jenkins GitLab or Bitbucket.
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus Nagios Datadog) to track system performance and detect anomalies.
- Respond to incidents conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as HIPAA ISO 27001 or GDPR.
- Develop and enforce policies for data protection encryption and secure access controls.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with development product and QA teams to align infrastructure with application requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems processes and security protocols.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in DevOps cloud infrastructure or security roles.
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS GCP or Azure.
- Handson experience with CI/CD tools configuration management and monitoring solutions.
- Solid understanding of security principles including encryption authentication and access control.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA or HL7.
