Position Overview:
A prestigious Venture Capital firm in New York is actively seeking an Associate to join its dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative investments collaborate with highgrowth companies and gain exposure to all aspects of venture capital. The ideal candidate will have a passion for earlystage investing strong analytical skills and a drive to work in a fastpaced entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Analysis: Conduct thorough market research financial analysis and due diligence to evaluate potential investments in startups and growthstage companies.
- Deal Sourcing: Assist in sourcing new investment opportunities and building relationships with entrepreneurs and industry networks.
- Portfolio Management: Support the firms portfolio companies with strategic guidance financial analysis and business development initiatives.
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess investment opportunities and valuations.
- Fundraising Support: Assist in fundraising efforts by preparing materials and presentations for potential investors.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members in all aspects of deal flow from initial screening to postinvestment monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business or a related field (MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus).
- 3 years of experience in venture capital private equity investment banking or a similar analytical role.
- Strong financial modeling valuation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and relevant financial software tools.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A passion for technology innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
