Job Title: System Admin
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer server environments network systems and security operations ensuring optimal performance and availability of critical TIERS systems.
- Manage Active Directory (AD) and LDAP including user/domain security Group Policy Kerberos NTLM TCP/IP DNS DHCP and WINS.
- Provide handson support for Windows and Linux systems on AWS Azure and other cloud platforms.
- Support server hardware including replacements and upgrades.
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server including clustered environments and provide ongoing support.
- Maintain and optimize Hypervisor environments (HyperV and VMware).
- Work with tools like Ansible SFTP/FTPS and Kubernetes to support automation and containerized applications.
- Provide support on a 24x7 oncall basis rotating with team members and ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly.
- Support network administration system monitoring and security/privacy policies.
- Use ITILbased ticketing systems (Remedy ServiceNow) for incident problem and change management.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical teams providing concise reports and status updates.
- Coordinate server maintenance and patching activities in alignment with TIERS Data Center and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Highlevel knowledge and handson experience with network facilities data processing techniques computer hardware and security software.
- Extensive experience with LDAP/Windows Active Directory Microsoft SQL Server HyperV VMware and cloud platforms (AWS Azure).
- Proficient in administering Windows and Linux systems including networking IT governance and security/privacy policies.
- Indepth knowledge of Active Directory LDAP DNS DHCP Kerberos NTLM and PXE.
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Handson experience supporting AWS or Azure environments and cloudbased services.
- Experience with ITIL ticketing systems (Remedy ServiceNow) for managing incidents requests and service levels.
- Ability to work on a 24x7 oncall rotation providing server and application support on an asneeded basis.
- Experience with server hardware upgrades and replacements.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting Ansible SFTP/FTPS Kubernetes and opensource software tools.
- Ability to prepare concise reports and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Experience planning and coordinating server maintenance patching and security activities with Data Center Contractors and CSPs.
- Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise environments and implementing clustered SQL Server configurations.
- Experience managing Web Application Firewalls (Imperva and/or AWS WAF).
