Partner Staffing is currently working with our client seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Engineer to join their dynamic team in Victoria. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning design and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects including roads highways bridges and transit systems.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee transportation engineering projects from conceptual design through to detailed design and construction.
- Conduct feasibility studies impact assessments and traffic analysis.
- Prepare engineering drawings specifications and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with clients stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Ensure compliance with local provincial and federal regulations and standards.
- Participate in public consultations and stakeholder engagement processes.
- Prepare reports presentations and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Alberta or eligibility to obtain it.
- 36 years of experience in transportation engineering with a focus on road and highway design.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and traffic analysis tools (e.g. SYNCHRO VISSIM).
- Strong understanding of transportation planning principles traffic engineering and geometric design standards.
- Excellent communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
