Your main responsibilities will be the following:
- Writing maintainable and efficient code leveraging software engineering best practices
- Using your knowledge for maintaining our core PHP monolith (bug fixing feature requests etc..) but also help us migrate various features to our microservicesbased systems (powered by Node.js)
- Contribute to improving our internal development and testing processes
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a developer on apps running in production
- Solid knowledge and experience with PHP (2 years)
- Work experience with at least one PHP framework (preferably Symfony)
- Work experience with relational databases (MySQL) and ObjectRelational Mapping libraries (preferably Doctrine)
- Ability to work comfortably on refactoring and maintaining legacy applications
- Handson experience with integrating external systems (through REST APIs)
- Knowledge of version control tools (Git)
- Excellent communication skills: good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory as we are an international team
- Experience in writing modern JavaScript (> ES6)
- General frontend knowledge (HTML5 CSS3) and related frameworks (ideally Vue.js)
- Working exprience with Node.js TypeScript Go or Python
Nicetohave
- Experience with managing services on a cloud computing provider (e.g. AWS Azure GCP)
- Experience with serverless computing and related platforms (e.g. AWS Lambda)
- Experience with TestDriven Development and CI/CD practices
