As we enter a growth phase FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Center of West Pearland is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PartTime Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team of professionals. Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Help the PT in all aspects of patient care
- Under the guidance of the PT perform therapy techniques/exercises
- Measure and track patient progress informing PT of all changes
- Provide patients with needed continued care information
- Assist the Physical Therapist in patient handling treatment and management
- Carry out techniques and exercises prescribed by Physical Therapist
- Keep Physical Therapist up to date on changes in patient progress
- Document patient progress on a timely manner
- Help measure and track intervention effectiveness
- Educate the patient on continuing care
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Active TX PTA license
- Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
- Good communication skills
- Must be selfmotivated with a willingness to learn and use all physical therapy modalities
- 1 year(s) of experience preferred
- Experience with outpatient setting preferred
- Experience with insurance coding preferred
