Our current client is an Accounting and Auditing company providing the full scope of related services. On their behalf we are looking for Accounting Director to join their team in Sofia. If you are curious about this exciting opportunity then this might be the chance you have been waiting for!

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting and payroll teams ensuring skill development quality service and productivity. Assign tasks oversee workflows and foster a culture of collaboration and improvement.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary contact for highvalue clients providing strategic guidance addressing inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction with proactive recommendations.
  • Compliance and Risk: Ensure adherence to financial tax and legal regulations monitor changes and implement internal controls to manage risk and maintain compliance.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement best practices and utilize technology to enhance productivity accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes.
  • Reporting and Additional Duties: Regularly report department performance to management conduct manager evaluations represent the company at key events and complete other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Accounting and Payroll;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation;
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and NAS;
  • University degree in Accounting and/or Finance;
  • Good analytical organizational and communication skills;
  • Attention to detail and strict compliance with deadlines;
  • Excellent skills in team working;
  • Excellent business communication etiquette;
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills;
  • Fluent in English including reading speaking and writing;
  • Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Office Word Excel and PowerPoint.
