Job Summary:
The role reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is responsible for designing developing releasing and maintaining technology systems and services for health plan functions enterprisewide.
Oversee business application portfolio for Insurance Finance and Marketing information systems.
Work with crossfunctional teams to ensure maximum value and satisfaction for stakeholders.
Direct the design development testing and debugging of provider and health plan applications.
Oversee software development and integration activities for health plan systems.
Collaborate with Business Analytics teams to develop architecture that enhances operational outcomes.
Implement cloudbased data and analytics solutions for clinical and business services ensuring data integration database integrity and middleware functionality.
Lead the development of consumer and external engagement technology solutions for stakeholders.
Coordinate closely with the CIO and maintain a dottedline reporting relationship to health plan business owners.
The role requires a Bachelors degree in Business Computer Science or a healthcarerelated field.
Requires 10 years of IT experience including 8 years in a seniorlevel role managing Health Plan applications financial systems or health insurance applications.
Expertise in largescale Health Plan systems such as HealthEdge Tapestry or Cognizant required.
Requires proficiency in project management service management principles organizational change management and technology architectures.
The role requires a strategic mindset with experience in business and IT strategic planning.
Strong knowledge of Agile and Lean principles ITIL PMI and SDLC methodologies required.
Comprehensive understanding of IT operations application management processes and technology platforms necessary.
Solid experience in health plan integration data analytics middleware solutions and enterprise system upgrades.
Proven problemsolving skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
The role will manage a team of 30 staff including 6 direct reports.
Focus on integrating health plans into systems using Microsoft integration HL7 APIs and middleware solutions.
Experience with HealthEdge Cognizant EPIC Tapestry and custom solutions is highly desirable.
Candidates with a Medical Insurance background and experience in HealthPlan implementation integration and analytics are preferred.
