Job Description:
Augmentjobs is seeking a highly motivated FIG (Financial Institutions Group) Investment Banking Analyst to join our dynamic team. The role involves working on mergers & acquisitions capital markets transactions and strategic advisory projects with a focus on financial institutions. As a FIG Investment Banking Analyst you will support senior bankers in executing transactions conducting financial analysis and preparing presentations for clients.
Responsibilities:

Support deal execution from start to finish including preparing pitch materials financial models and other documents.

Perform detailed industry and companyspecific research to aid in transaction decisions.

Assist in the preparation of financial analysis including valuation models (DCF precedent transactions comparable companies etc.).

Prepare and present client materials including presentations and due diligence reports.

Coordinate with clients other advisory teams and external parties in the execution of deals.

Contribute to the preparation of marketing materials for both internal and external clients.

Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess the impact of various financial strategies.

Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to provide insights for clients.
Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business or related field (or equivalent work experience).

13 years of experience in investment banking financial analysis or related field.

Strong knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and financial databases (Bloomberg Capital IQ etc.).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrated interest in financial institutions and capital markets.
Skills:
Financial Modeling Proficient in building and interpreting financial models including DCF comparable company and precedent transaction analysis.
Valuation Techniques Strong understanding of various valuation methods such as DCF LBO and precedent transactions.
Industry Research Ability to conduct thorough research on financial institutions market trends and competitor analysis.
Financial Analysis Experience analyzing financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
Microsoft Excel Advanced skills in Excel for financial modeling data analysis and reporting.
PowerPoint Strong presentation skills for creating clientfacing materials and internal presentations.
Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealing with clients and presenting findings.
Attention to Detail Meticulous in ensuring data accuracy and precision in financial models and reports.
Time Management Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a highpressure environment.
