Job Description
Job Title: API Tester(US Citizens only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:- Design and implement test plans and test cases for API testing (REST SOAP GraphQL etc.).
- Perform functional regression and performance testing on APIs to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize tools such as Postman SoapUI JMeter or similar to conduct manual and automated API testing.
- Work closely with developers to identify reproduce and resolve APIrelated defects.
- Validate API data responses error codes and HTTP status codes to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Ensure APIs are secure scalable and able to handle large amounts of data and traffic.
- Perform integration testing to ensure that APIs work seamlessly with other systems and services.
- Write clear and concise bug reports and track defects through to resolution.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (development product and business) to understand API requirements and functionality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of API testing processes tools and methodologies.
- Support the development of automated test scripts and API testing frameworks.
- Proven experience as an API Tester or QA Engineer with handson experience in testing RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.
- Strong knowledge of API testing tools (e.g. Postman SoapUI Rest Assured JMeter).
- Experience in API documentation and specification formats (e.g. Swagger RAML).
- Solid understanding of HTTP HTTPS REST JSON and XML.
- Experience with writing and executing manual test cases including functional regression and performance testing.
- Knowledge of database concepts and experience with SQL to validate data and test API responses.
- Strong debugging and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban).
- Attention to detail excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in version control tools like Git.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
