Job Description
Job Title: Database Engineer (US Citizens only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement scalable database structures schemas and tables to meet application requirements.
- Develop test and optimize database solutions using SQL and other database technologies.
- Analyze database performance and implement solutions for improved efficiency.
- Monitor database systems and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or issues.
- Ensure data security privacy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies for database backup recovery and disaster recovery.
- Work with development teams to integrate databases with applications and systems.
- Partner with business analysts to understand data requirements and provide insights.
- Maintain uptodate documentation for database systems processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular database maintenance updates and patches to ensure system reliability.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL SQL Server Oracle).
- Expertise in SQL and database query optimization.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB Cassandra) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data modeling ETL processes and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in database administration tools and monitoring solutions.
- Proven experience in database development maintenance and performance tuning.
- Handson experience with cloudbased database solutions (e.g. AWS RDS Azure SQL Google Cloud Spanner).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Certifications in database technologies (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional Microsoft Azure Database Certification).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python PowerShell) for database automation.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps principles.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
