Job Description
Location: Pendleton OR
Start Date:12/30/2024
Employment Type: Travel Nursing L&D RN
Shift: Night shifts
Pay: $2506.00 per week
Expected Hours: 36hours per week
***Oregon License Required Can apply for the OR 90 Day Emergency License***
Unit L&D/PP/MB
# of L&D Beds 5 # of OR Suites 1 within the unit staffed by the main OR we dont scrub/circulate # of triage beds 1 # of Postpartum beds 3 in addition to the 5 LDRPs # of births per day per year
Approx 340 annual deliveries (3035/month on average)
Experience or Must have skills L&D PP routine nursery Intermediate Nursey; Nurses must be able to be independent in all areas of care. There are always a minimum of 2 nurses present sometimes 3. Each RN is the back up for the other. Strong skills are essential. Each RN is depended on equally.
Shifts & Scheduling 12 hour shifts Either 7a7p or 7p7a (We do block scheduling; trades are allowed)
Floating Requirements To be discussed Yes they are expected to float and be helping hands in other units Scrub Color/Dress code Scrubs Provided Unit/Department specific orientation yes typically 3 shifts Unit Specific Information: We can be very busy at times and slow at others. Being able to jump from one task or assignment is essential. You may start the shift with 2 nurses and no labors and end the shift with 3 nurses 2 labors and intermediate baby waiting transfer and a couple fresh postpartum pairs.

- Assist in the delivery process including Csections and complicated births.
- Provide postpartum care and newborn assessments.
- Educate patients and families on newborn care and postpartum recovery.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and interventions.
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience preferred.
- BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong communication and criticalthinking skills.
