Job Description
Job Title: Paralegal Specialist
Location: Boston MA 02118
Duration: 6 Months (Potential for Extension or Hire)
The Paralegal Specialist will support legal proceedings by preparing guardianship petitions managing case files and ensuring compliance with court schedules and reviews. This role involves working closely with healthcare providers and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare guardianship petitions and legal pleadings for filing in probate courts.
- Track courtapproved medication orders and coordinate periodic court reviews.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to obtain affidavits and necessary documents.
- Maintain and update case files filing systems and court schedules (e.g. return dates hearings trials).
- File cases in probate courts and ensure proper processing of court documents.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with court personnel attorneys families and service coordinators.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Experience: Familiarity with probate court processes and guardianship proceedings.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and Access.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational and communication abilities to manage interactions with diverse stakeholders.
This role is ideal for candidates with a background in legal or paralegal work who are detailoriented and comfortable handling sensitive cases.
