Location: Onsite in Gaithersburg with up to 2 days a week remote when required lab work allows for it.

Job Description
1. The skills to design and conduct in vivo experiments and develop methods generate interpret and report on scientific data.
2. Strong scientific expertise in T cell biology cellular therapy and extensive knowledge of the mechanisms that regulate CART cell functions.
3. A PhD in Immunology or a related field with relevant experience in industry or academia along with a significant publication record.
Accountabilities:
Contributes primarily to running in vivo experiments and their designs performs independent data analysis and provide interpretations.
Proficient in mice handling and procedures like iv infusion tumor implantation and tissue processing
Supports a team and works collaboratively to ensure efficient relay of information and forward translation of data.
Maintains a welldeveloped understanding of drug discovery approaches and applies broader functional knowledge to support diverse project groups within the department.
Assesses and reports data with minimal guidance ensuring clarity and understanding of its implications within the overall context of drug discovery.
Provides technical instruction to the team and allocates administrative tasks where possible.
Shares relevant external published papers with peers.
Communicates and shares information across distinct projects within the bioscience function and other departments.
Ensures compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Safety Health and Environment (SHE) standards and all other relevant internal standards and external regulations.
Prerequisites:
PhD in Immunology or an equivalent field and/or professional certifications with 03 years of postdoctoral training in immunology T cell biology and in vivo procedures.
An MS degree with 35 years of experience will also be considered.
Proficiency in cell culture of established cell lines and primary human immune cells.
Handson expertise in Tcell functional characterization assays such as in vitro cytotoxicity proliferation and cytokine measurement.
Welldeveloped understanding and expertise in molecular and cellular biology of immune cells including the design and performance of functional assays and cell transfection/transduction.
Familiarity with multiparameter flow cytometry including immunostaining acquisition and analysis.
Up to 5 years of experience not more.
CAR T cell knowledge would be desired but is not a requirement.
Oncology experience is a plus.
In vitro experience is desired but will train if they dont have it.
This is a support role in which the scientist will work 75% in the lab running In vivo experiences infusions take and analyse mice tissue etc. 25% will be analysing and preparing data for presentations.
Will work closely with department lead and in vivo leaders as well as other departments.
