Job Description
Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: West Lafayette IN (47906)
Client: State of Indiana
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
Join a dedicated team at a fullservice care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). In this role you will provide essential nursing care to residents ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. You will work under moderate supervision and participate in care planning and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments per accepted standards.
- Ensure safe and efficient personal care for residents.
- Document care provided and communicate changes to the physician.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff and facilitate care planning.
- Maintain compliance with infection control standards and safety protocols.
Required Skills:
- Valid Indiana LPN license.
- CPR and BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Experience in longterm care and memory care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems (Matrix Care preferred).
- Dementia 6hour certification prior to start.
