Your Role:
Reporting to the Director Financial Planning you will lead and shape the financial future of the organization. As the Manager of Financial Planning and Budgeting you will:
Lead the Charge in Budget Development:
- Drive the preparation of annual operating budgets ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
- Strategize and manage budget impacts offering guidance to senior leadership on enhancement strategies.
- Prepare multiyear financial plans identifying risks and opportunities for longterm sustainability.
Financial Analysis Research and Reporting:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support key institutional initiatives.
- Develop compelling business cases for strategic initiatives advising on budget forecasts and financial statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting providing insights to senior management and external parties.
Operational Excellence:
- Advise and guide budget managers on budget preparation and financial result interpretation.
- Recommend and implement quality and efficiency improvements in financial processes.
- Act as a consultant on budget guidelines and financial policies ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Lead and Inspire:
- Supervise and mentor a team of Financial Planning Analysts fostering a collaborative and highperforming environment.
- Provide leadership in financial analysis processes ensuring effective teamwork and information sharing.
What You Bring:
- An Honours Degree in Business Commerce Finance Accounting or a related field.
- CPA designation is required at the time of hire.
- Strong communication with the ability to deliver presentations to CSuite and Stakeholders
- 5 years of relevant work experience with expertise in Public Sector Accounting Standards (Highly desireable)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Excel).
- Demonstrated competence in financial modelling and strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and problemsolving abilities.
- Proven leadership and teamwork skills.
