Quality Inspector
Location: Erlanger KY 41018
Schedule: 1st shift
Schedule: 1st shift
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay Range: $19$30.60/hr.
OVERVIEW:
Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED
Field of Study/Area of Experience Machine Tool Technology
24 Years of experience in CNC machines
Skills Knowledge and Abilities List
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
Ability to research and analyze data effectively
Good/Strong/Excellence verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read blueprints and process specification instructions
Wellorganized detailoriented and ability to multitask
Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision in order to meet deadline
Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically
Team building Skills
Intermediate level knowledge of CNC software applications and strong understanding of CNC operating systems
Good knowledge of related technologies such as CADCAM
Experience/ knowledge of computers and applications
POSITION SUMMARY:
CNC Machinist will be required to perform tasks related to program editing setup operation troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for CNC machines custom process machines and production support equipment. Read manufacturing prints machine drawings and operators manuals adjust tooling and process parameters interpret programs and interact with Engineering to solve problems as well as optimizing operations. Operate material handling equipment use a variety of measuring equipment and perform other miscellaneous tasks. Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
CNC Mill Lathe and Mill Turn Machining 60% of time
Operation of 3 and 5 axis vertical and horizontal mills lathes and mill turn
Performs CNC set ups that may entail truing up locating surfaces
Capable to vet CNC programs and cutter selection on legacy CNC tooling
Responsible for training less skilled Machinists and Operators
Ensure correct fixturing is used and maintained.
Programming Presetters and Shrinkfit equipment and setting tool life parameters
Understands macro programming and subroutines tied to main programs
Understands fundamentals of GD&T dimensioning and tolerancing
Load NC programs adjust offset tables maintain and replace cutting tools.
Electronically document inprocess data to maintain QA and production system requirements.
Measure and record QA data; dimensions serial numbers etc.
Perform measuring equipment calibration checks.
Knowledge of Fanuc Haas Mazatrol Fagor and Seimens controls
Machine Setup and prove out 20% of time
Operate material handling equipment including hoists cranes tow motors etc.
Abilty to read and understand detailed prints and work instructions.
Knowledge of indicators micrometers and calipers to accurately align workholding.
Must assemble tools and accurately set tool length as well as alignment and runout
Must have knowledge of work offsets and tool offset parameters in each control type
Must be capable of proving out 1st piece setups on different types of equipment
