Fund Accountant
We are seeking an experienced professional for an exciting opportunity in the insurance industry. This open role requires expertise in fund oversight to ensure smooth financial operations and mitigate risks during a colleague s maternity leave. The position offers the chance to work with a leading organization contribute to critical financial oversight processes and collaborate with diverse teams to uphold operational excellence.
What is in it for you:
Salaried: $38 to $43 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $49 to $52 per hour.
12month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid work: 3 office days from Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:
Conduct nextday oversight of NAVs outsourced to NAV Agent partners ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Identify investigate resolve or escalate discrepancies within 24 hours of NAV publication.
Maintain auditstandard archived packages.
Apply sound judgment to unexpected issues assessing materiality and pursuing optimal resolutions.
Prioritize tasks effectively to mitigate risks proactively addressing and escalating issues as needed.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor s degree in finance or accounting.
Designations such as CGA CMA CA CPA or CFA (candidate) considered an asset.
2 4 years of relevant experience in the investment industry.
Strong proficiency in information systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
Experience in fund accounting or investment administration.
Knowledge of securities instruments foreign exchange reconciliation investment accounting and fund reporting.
Bilingual fluency in English and French (spoken and written) to support a bilingual client base is required.
Detailoriented with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated initiative adaptability and the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
