Job Title: Hardware Project Manager
Type: Temporary
Level: MidLevel
Location: Redmond WA
Workplace: Onsite (4 days a week)
Duration: 6month contract to start with a chance for extension based on budget renewal.

Are you interested in working on a quantum computer and learning about quantum devices and electronics while supporting a program with the US government agency DARPA
Do you have experience with test and measurement equipment and previous PM experience
Are you comfortable working with different teams to define business requirements and engineering development plans

3. Summary of the opportunity
Client Overview: We are hiring for a project management role with a leading technology company in the field of quantum computing.
Role Summary: As a Hardware Project Manager you will oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle. You will be responsible for project design scope management cost control quality and performance reporting. This role plays a crucial part in the hardware and software development of complex products during the research and development (R&D) phase.
4. What are the key responsibilities
Develop track and manage project budget project plans timelines and scope
Manage project resources including procuring project staff and developing motivating coaching and advising them
Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements system architecture and engineering development plans
Facilitate crossfunctional teams communication within multiple layers of computing system
Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
5. What experience are we looking for to drive success
MUSTHave Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or advanced degree in engineering (preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering)
24 years of project management or R&D engineering management experience
Proven project management experience
Experience with ADO Microsoft tools (Powerpoint Word Excel Project)
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience at MSFT or at a company with similar scale
Past work experience with the US government
Experience with test and measurement equipment
Previous PM experience
