Senior Development Engineer
Location: Akron Ohio
Are you an experienced development engineer ready to lead impactful projects and collaborate with global teams This role offers an exciting opportunity to innovate optimize designs and drive performance in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop products to meet and exceed performance requirements.
- Lead development projects with minimal supervision ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional and international teams to achieve project goals.
- Analyze performance data and provide design recommendations for optimization.
- Support manufacturing processes through plant visits including component preparation and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Represent the company in industry organizations and forums.
MustHave Qualifications
- Development Expertise: Advanced knowledge of product design optimization and performance testing.
- CATIA V5 Proficiency: Handson experience in design and modeling.
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Basic understanding and application.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Proven ability to work with international teams.
- Manufacturing Process Knowledge: Familiarity with production processes component preparation and process improvement.
- Regulatory Awareness: Strong knowledge of industry standards and compliance.
- Data Analysis Skills: Ability to analyze performance data and recommend design improvements.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in product development with a track record of leading projects and solving complex challenges.
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
