Job Description: Summer Economic Consulting Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Summer Economic Consulting Analyst to join our consulting team for a 10 12 week internship program. As a Summer Analyst you will gain handson experience in economic consulting working alongside seasoned professionals to address complex business and policy challenges. You will engage in data analysis economic modeling and market research to support clients across various industries including finance healthcare technology and public policy. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to impactful projects in a fastpaced consulting environment.
- Assist in developing economic models forecasts and simulations to evaluate market trends policy impacts and business strategies.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess the economic implications of business decisions regulatory changes or policy initiatives.
- Support the interpretation of economic data and provide actionable insights for client projects.
- Collect clean and analyze large datasets from public and proprietary sources to support economic and strategic assessments.
- Use statistical and econometric tools to identify trends patterns and relationships in data.
- Prepare reports dashboards and presentations that summarize findings and provide clear recommendations to clients.
- Conduct research on industry trends macroeconomic conditions and regulatory developments to inform client strategies.
- Assess the economic impact of external factors such as policy changes or market disruptions on client operations.
- Benchmark client performance against industry standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to prepare clientfacing presentations and reports that address their specific economic challenges and goals.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops contributing to discussions and supporting the delivery of insights and recommendations.
- Track project milestones and deliverables ensuring highquality work and alignment with client expectations.
- Stay informed about emerging economic trends innovative methodologies and industry best practices.
- Contribute to internal research projects white papers and knowledgesharing initiatives within the firm.
- Assist in the development of new tools and frameworks to enhance the firms economic consulting capabilities.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Economics Finance Business Public Policy or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with coursework or experience in econometrics statistics and data analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical and econometric tools (e.g. Stata R Python or SAS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) is a plus.
- Proactive selfmotivated and eager to learn in a fastpaced consulting environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about economics and its application to solving realworld challenges.
