Job Description: Summer Sustainability Consulting Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Summer Sustainability Consulting Analyst to join our consulting team for a 10 12 week internship program. In this role you will work with senior consultants and clients across various industries to develop and implement sustainable solutions that reduce environmental impact optimize resource usage and help clients achieve their sustainability goals. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain handson experience in sustainability consulting and contribute to highimpact projects that drive positive change.
- Assist senior consultants in developing sustainability strategies for clients including goals for reducing carbon footprints improving resource efficiency and enhancing social responsibility practices.
- Help assess clients current sustainability efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the development of sustainability roadmaps and action plans to help clients meet their environmental and social goals.
- Gather and analyze data related to energy consumption carbon emissions water use waste generation and other sustainability metrics.
- Assist in preparing reports dashboards and presentations to communicate sustainability findings and recommendations.
- Help track clients sustainability performance and progress towards targets using datadriven insights and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in measuring clients carbon footprints and provide recommendations for reducing emissions through energy efficiency initiatives and sustainable practices.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities to reduce waste conserve resources and optimize energy consumption across client operations.
- Support life cycle assessments (LCAs) to evaluate the environmental impact of products and services and suggest improvements.
- Help evaluate clients supply chains to identify environmental social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the development of sustainable sourcing strategies and work with suppliers to improve sustainability practices.
- Contribute to strategies for reducing the environmental impact of supply chain activities including transportation production and procurement.
- Research sustainability regulations and emerging trends in environmental policies to help clients stay compliant.
- Assist in preparing sustainability disclosures and reports for compliance with standards such as GRI CDP and other ESG reporting frameworks.
- Help develop sustainability risk management strategies to address both environmental and business risks.
- Assist in preparing client presentations reports and other materials to communicate sustainability strategies and progress.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops providing support and helping to facilitate discussions on sustainability topics.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to track and report on project milestones ensuring timely delivery of highquality work.
- Stay informed about new sustainability technologies practices and tools that can help clients improve their environmental performance.
- Conduct research on best practices in sustainability and apply this knowledge to client projects.
- Assist in benchmarking client sustainability practices against industry standards to identify areas for improvement.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Sustainability Environmental Science Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with an interest in sustainability environmental management or corporate responsibility.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with sustainability tools frameworks and reporting standards (e.g. GRI CDP) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex sustainability data clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Selfstarter with a proactive approach to problemsolving and learning.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in teams and with clients.
- A passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment and society.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fastpaced dynamic consulting environment.
