Job Description

As a Junior Team Lead at Picnic youll be responsible for guiding motivating and training our warehouse team members (or Shoppers as we call them at Picnic). Youll help to create a happy working environment at our new stateoftheart Distribution Centre in Geldermalsen.
Whats happening in our Distribution Centres
Every day we collect thousands of groceries in our Distribution Centres (DCs). In our DC Geldermalsen we will focus on Fruit and vegetables as the product. The Fruit and vegetables are then sent to our Fulfilment Centres throughout the country. From there they are delivered via our last mile delivery location (hubs) to our customers using our electric Picnic vehicles. In our DC there could be more than 100 employees working per day with everyone contributing to an ontime and efficient service. Shoppers are responsible for collecting the groceries and a Junior Team Lead is responsible for a group of shoppers.
In a nutshell
As a Junior Team Lead you are the fore(wo)man of your team of Shoppers. You are responsible to guide motivate and train the team you are working with. This is an operational role where we expect you to lead by example by performing typical Shopper activities just like any other team member! You also have the extra responsibility to keep the process running smoothly and the area clean and safe. Are you up for a new challenge this is your chance!
What youll do
- Lead by example: work together with the team on shopper activities
- Guide a team of 510 shoppers
- Take responsibility for your area and team making sure its safe clean and productive
- Motivate and provide feedback to the shoppers on your shift
About you
- You like to help your colleagues improve their knowledge and skills
- You take responsibility easily and enjoy taking care of an area
- Available for a minimum of 32 hours
- Fixed weekly schedule
- Available on at least one weekend day per week
- Fluency in English
