ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate plant functions from the control room under the direction of the control room lead operator.
- Manage chip feed fuel feed furnace dryer and secondary sizing.
- Manage and monitor various levels and feed rates as instructed by the control room lead operator.
- Monitor spark detection system.
- Multitask with equipment alarms.
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
- Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner.
- Utilize skills to improve equipment optimization and reliability.
- Maintain logs record labor material and equipment used.
- Meticulous attention to detail; able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Perform other related duties and serve as backup resource as assigned.
- Submits reports in accordance with reporting directives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent education; trade school or college preferred.
- One year of inplant manufacturing experience.
- Proven experience as a control room operator.
- Working knowledge of control room equipment and systems.
- Ability to work independently and utilize critical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills to generate and implement solutions throughout the process.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
- Knowledge or ability to learn how to operate HMI touchscreens.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Must maintain compliance within all LOTO confined space hot work working at heights policies.
- OSHA 10 training and experience.
- Ability to work extended hours to includes nights weekends and holidays.
- Ability to continuously walk or stand bend squat climb stairs and lift items above shoulders.
- Ability to work outdoors rotating shifts and lift 50 pounds required.
- Ability to stay calm and focused in highpressure situations.
