Job Description: Summer Financial Consulting Associate
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Summer Financial Consulting Associate to join our consulting team for a 10 12 week internship program. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on highimpact financial projects assist in strategic financial decisionmaking and contribute to solutions that optimize clients financial performance. As a Summer Associate you will work closely with senior consultants contribute to financial analysis and gain exposure to a wide range of industries.
- Assist in analyzing financial data including profit and loss statements balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Develop financial models to forecast business performance assess risks and evaluate financial scenarios.
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies that align with clients business objectives and market conditions.
- Conduct industry and market research to provide insights into trends competitive landscapes and financial opportunities.
- Benchmark client performance against industry best practices and competitors.
- Stay informed on financial regulations economic conditions and emerging financial technologies.
- Support the preparation of clientfacing deliverables including presentations reports and strategic recommendations.
- Participate in client meetings providing insights and contributing to financial discussions.
- Assist in ensuring alignment between clients financial objectives and proposed strategies.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to execute project tasks ensuring the successful completion of workstreams.
- Track project progress and assist in managing timelines resources and deliverables.
- Assist in the development of project materials including financial presentations and progress reports.
- Participate in team discussions and brainstorming sessions gaining exposure to various financial consulting methodologies.
- Learn about financial technologies tools and platforms used in financial consulting.
- Take part in mentorship sessions with senior team members to enhance your knowledge of the financial consulting industry.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with a demonstrated interest in financial consulting corporate finance or strategy.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial concepts clearly and concisely.
- Detailoriented highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Familiarity with financial software tools (e.g. Bloomberg Capital IQ) is a plus.
- Selfstarter with a proactive approach to learning and problemsolving.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Passionate about financial consulting and helping clients optimize their financial strategies.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a dynamic evolving consulting environment.
