Job Description: Summer Financial Consulting Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Summer Financial Consulting Analyst to join our consulting team for a 10 12 week internship program. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain handson experience in financial consulting working on realworld projects to help clients optimize performance reduce risks and achieve strategic goals. As a Summer Analyst you will collaborate with experienced consultants develop financial strategies and contribute to impactful client engagements across diverse industries.
- Assist in analyzing client financial data including cash flows budgets and performance metrics.
- Build and refine financial models to support decisionmaking and strategic recommendations.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses to evaluate the potential impact of various scenarios on business performance.
- Conduct research on industry trends economic conditions and competitive landscapes to inform client strategies.
- Benchmark client financial performance against industry peers and best practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop actionable recommendations tailored to client needs.
- Prepare financial reports presentations and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops providing insights and support to the consulting team.
- Ensure alignment between client objectives and proposed strategies.
- Work closely with senior consultants and managers to execute project tasks and achieve client objectives.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and team discussions to develop creative and effective solutions.
- Gain exposure to financial consulting methodologies and tools through handson experience.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with demonstrated interest in financial consulting strategy or corporate finance.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- Highly organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Familiarity with financial tools and platforms (e.g. Bloomberg Capital IQ) is a plus.
- Selfstarter with a proactive approach to learning and problemsolving.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
- Passion for financial consulting and delivering measurable client impact.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a dynamic and evolving consulting environment.
