Job Description: Summer Real Estate Private Equity Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Summer Real Estate Private Equity Analyst to join our team for a 10 12 week internship program. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain handson experience in real estate private equity working alongside experienced professionals on acquisitions asset management and portfolio strategy. As a Summer Analyst you will develop skills in financial analysis market research and deal execution while contributing to highimpact projects.
Key Responsibilities: Investment Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify and assess real estate investment opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements and build financial models including cash flow projections and sensitivity analyses.
- Assist in preparing investment memoranda and presentations for internal investment committees.
Due Diligence and Transaction Support:
- Participate in the due diligence process including site visits property assessments and market evaluations.
- Collaborate with external advisors to gather and validate information on potential investments.
- Support the organization and management of data rooms for transaction documentation.
Portfolio Management Assistance:
- Monitor the performance of portfolio assets by analyzing financial and operational metrics.
- Assist in preparing updates on portfolio performance for senior management and investors.
- Support the development and implementation of assetlevel business plans including leasing and capital improvement strategies.
Collaboration and Learning:
- Work closely with senior team members to contribute to live transactions and strategic projects.
- Gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle from sourcing opportunities to executing and managing investments.
- Participate in team meetings brainstorming sessions and discussions on market trends and investment strategies.
Qualifications: Educational Background:
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Finance Real Estate Economics Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with demonstrated interest in real estate or private equity.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Basic understanding of real estate investment concepts such as IRR cap rates and sensitivity analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Argus and real estate databases such as CoStar or REIS is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly.
- Detailoriented organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
