Position: CAPS Project Coordinator

- Under supervision applies project management knowledge skills tools and techniques in supporting project leads.
- Drives the development and application of project management methodology and culture.
- The Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS) program is administered by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL)
- The CAPS Project Coordinator will report to the CAPS Senior Technical Solutions Manager but will work closely and be assigned work from the CAPS Agile Solution Manager.
- The CAPS Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the CAPS Agile Solution Manager with tasks related to and managing the GACAPS project scope goals and deliverables.
- This role involves coordinating activities and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
- Local Candidates Only: This position is remote based but candidates must reside within 400 miles of the DECAL headquarters to allow for inperson meetings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with project leadership to assist in business and technology initiatives as well as management of overall project tasks.
- File project documents and maintain central repository for all project documentation (status reporting risk management issue management change management etc.)
- Support in the development and maintenance of the project schedule such as tracking project changes including scope and timeline.
- Assist in the development of project status reports.
- In coordination with the project team and Agile Solution Manager identify resolve and mitigate project issues.
- Coordinate meetings including scheduling meeting minutes ensuring resource participation and documenting action items.
- Prepare and edit correspondence presentations reports etc. related to project.
- Assist project team in additional tasks as assigned.
Agency Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND two or more years of project management/coordination experience.
Agency Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND four or more years of project management/coordination experience; and the following:
- Experience with technology development projects
- Intermediate skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency in Project Management software
- Intermediate skills in SharePoint and relational databases.

- Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading and visual inspection.
