Job Description
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of a Commercial and Industrial Designer is to develop and design functional innovative and aesthetically pleasing products including medical devices and consumer goods such as home appliances and cars. The role involves blending artistic skills with research on product usability marketing materials and design trends to ensure optimal product development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create sketches detailed drawings illustrations and blueprints using traditional drafting tools or CAD software.
- Refine and adjust designs based on working models customer specifications production constraints or evolving design trends.
- Collaborate with engineering marketing sales and production teams to develop and assess design concepts.
- Study industry trends attend events and research competing products to generate innovative design ideas.
- Design graphic elements for product illustrations advertising and packaging materials.
- Review design plans and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and verification protocols.
Must Haves:
- Medical device experience is a must along with packaging design and development expertise.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks Minitab and Adobe software (Illustrator Photoshop).
- Familiarity with IQ OQ PQ processes.
- A bachelors degree in industrial design architecture or engineering; a masters degree is preferred.
- 57 years of relevant experience.
