Job Description:
Role:
As a Technical Product Owner with a focus on Payments you will play a critical role in driving the development of new features enhancements and integrations related to our payment platform. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams including engineering business stakeholders and product managers to define product requirements prioritize features and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. You will also leverage your technical expertise to ensure our Javabased microservices architecture and cloud infrastructure support the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the Payments platform ensuring alignment with company goals. Work with leadership to develop and maintain the product roadmap balancing customer needs business priorities and technical constraints.
  • Requirements Definition: Gather and document functional and nonfunctional requirements for payment features ensuring they align with business objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for technical requirements and work with engineering teams to ensure proper implementation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the business (including marketing operations finance etc.) to identify opportunities for product improvements and new payment functionalities. Ensure smooth communication between technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog for paymentrelated features ensuring that user stories are clearly defined and achievable within each sprint. Make datadriven decisions to ensure maximum business value is delivered.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your expertise in Javabased microservices and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) to guide technical decisionmaking and ensure scalable secure and highperformance solutions. Contribute to the design and architecture discussions when required.
  • Delivery & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver product features. Facilitate sprint planning sprint reviews and retrospectives. Monitor product performance postlaunch gather feedback and drive improvements.
  • Payments Domain Knowledge: Provide deep expertise in the Payments domain including understanding of payment gateways fraud prevention PCI compliance regulatory standards and transaction processing.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure that products comply with industry regulations (e.g. PSD2 GDPR PCIDSS) and best practices for security and risk management in the payments industry.
  • Customer Focus: Advocate for the customer by continuously seeking feedback and driving features that enhance the user experience. Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to keep the product competitive.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a technical environment ideally within the Payments domain.
  • Strong background in developing managing and optimizing Javabased microservices.
  • Handson experience with Cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and distributed systems.
  • Proven experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban).
Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloudnative technologies and microservices patterns (containers Kubernetes serverless etc.).
  • Knowledge of payment processing systems gateways and financial protocols (e.g. REST APIs SOAP ISO 20022).
  • Understanding of security protocols in payments (e.g. encryption tokenization PCIDSS).
Analytical & ProblemSolving Skills:
  • Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and break them down into actionable user stories.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to navigate technical challenges while balancing business needs.
