Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the setup and breakdown of all stage equipment and props for performances
Operate lighting sound and special effects during performances
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on stage equipment as needed
Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment during port stops
Work closely with the Stage Manager to ensure smooth transitions between performances
Communicate effectively with other crew members to ensure the safety and success of each performance
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures at all times
Maintain a clean and organized backstage area
Assist with other duties as assigned by the Stage Manager or other superiors
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Stagehand in a live performance setting
Knowledge of lighting sound and special effects equipment
Ability to work in a fastpaced constantly changing environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
Willingness to travel and work on a cruise ship for extended periods of time
Basic understanding of technical theater concepts and terminology
High school diploma or equivalent technical theater training is a plus
